We highly recommend throwing on a pair of good walking shoes and strolling through Downtown Knoxville. We recommend starting in Market Square, then Gay Street, and then following Gay Street into the Old City. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants to keep you busy along with Suttree's Tavern on Gay Street which has arcade games and surprisingly good ramen.

If you go to Market Square, there's a statue garden with a pretty waterfall. That's where Kevin proposed to Bianca on December 18, 2024. After you snap some photos, we recommend stopping at Tupelo Honey for their biscuits and shrimp and grits.

Downtown Knoxville has recently become home to The Smokies, a minor league baseball team (Cubs Double-A Affiliate). There's not a bad seat in the house, so if you're looking for something to do check the 2026 season schedule.
