What time should I arrive?
Between 2:30p and 2:45p. Please note that if you are not seated by 2:55p, you will not be allowed to enter the ceremony until after the procession.
Where do I park?
There is a large parking lot with free parking next to UT Gardens.
Where do I go once I've parked?
Head over to the main entrance of the park. It has a brick walk with umbrellas and tables. There will be ushers there to guide you to the Rose Garden for the ceremony.
Is there assigned seating?
While there is no formal assigned seating for the ceremony, there will be reserved seats at the two front rows and the back rows. The front rows are reserved for the wedding party and family. The back rows are reserved for late comers. There will be ushers available to help you find your seat.
The reception will have assigned seating and a seating chart will be posted at the Friendship Pavilion.
Is this an unplugged ceremony?
YES! Please put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We have a very talented photographer who will be taking plenty of pictures of the ceremony. So please keep those phones away and keep out of the aisles.
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal/ cocktail. It's a garden wedding so no need for your tails or formal tuxes. However, please no jeans, shorts, t-shirts, or crop-tops. And of course, please do not wear white or ivory.
What do I do if I have a dietary restriction?
Please let us know when you RSVP if you have a dietary restriction such as an allergy, gluten intolerance, or dairy intolerance. We have great caterers who will make sure dietary restrictions are taken care of.
What about booze?
We'll be serving an "open" bar with beer, wine, and seltzers. The booze is free, but there will not be any liquor. Also, any current UT students or those under 21 years old cannot drink alcohol during this event.
Will there be a cocktail hour?
Absolutely! The bar will be under the Friendship Pavilion along with light appetizers. During the cocktail hour feel free to roam the gardens, just be back by 4:45p for the start of the reception.
What time is dinner?
Dinner will start around 5:30p and there will be light appetizers at the cocktail hour (charcuterie and bruschetta), so if you get hangry like the bride, maybe have a bigger lunch or snack before the ceremony.
Are children invited?
As much as we adore children this will be an adults only event, except for children who have been specifically invited and/or are in our wedding. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Can I bring a plus one?
No, venue space is limited and we can only accommodate those who have been explicitly invited.
